Friday Fill-in #174

And...here we go!

1. I was dying to cut my hair today.
2. Hurriedly, I flag a taxi and I left my book inside.
3. Why is it so humid then a few minutes, rain comes?
4. My husband who’ll drive his sister to Supreme Court for roll signing was in my thoughts today.
5. One of my father's favorite sayings was you decided for it, so stick to your decision.
6. Irritable when it’s hot --I know that feeling!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a salon date with my colleague, tomorrow my plans include going to Ann Arbor to reserve a slot for Joshua for Junior Casa and Sunday, I want to watch Iron Man 2!

Thursday Thunks: Walking in Memphis

The TT questions are brought to you by Bud, the color of KC's hair and the number 33.

5 1. Robins have red breasts. Why are their eggs blue?

Dunno. I think the eggs should be red too.

2. The doorbell buzzes at the same moment the phone rings. Who was on the phone?

My dad. He haven’t called me for two weeks now. I guess his busy.

3. It seems that there are several very popular memes each day of the week. Which meme did you first become a regular of?

Manic Monday. I don’t do it regularly though.

4. It is about time that Berleen and Kimber meet in person. Should we start a collection to fly one of them to the other, or just hope Thom's bus and get from Hawaii to Kimber in Arizona and take her to Berleen in Minnesota?

Fly to Minnesota.

5. Tell us about your pets. Do you have one that you wish would run away?

Yeah. Our dog “plug.” I’m not a pet lover so imagine how furious I was when the husband and my son came home with a dog. Good thing, the dog has found a new home now.

6. What was the last thing colored red that you wore?

Nail polish.

7. I have a train that runs by where I live several times a day. I actually find it peaceful. What's the longest journey that you have taken by train?

Here in my side of the world? Baclaran to Monumento.

8. If Kimber threw a five dollar bill off a building that was five stories high, and Berleen threw a twenty off a build that was six stories high, who do you think would find the money?

Me! Me! Me!

9. If reincarnation really happens, whose life would you like to know that you have already led?

Mary or Eve.

10. What are your three favorite possessions?

Kids. Husband. Family.

11. A lot of people still believe that Elvis is alive. Have you ever worn blue suede shoes?

Nah!

12. Do you have siblings? If yes, are you anything alike?

I do have two younger brothers. We do not share any common trait except being lazy when mom is around. Teehee!

13. Has anyone ever asked you to strip naked and cluck like a chicken?

Nah! And never will I do it.

G1bo or Noynoy

3 more days

I can’t believe it! Three more days and April has just ended like that. May will be a very busy month for me, both at work and at home. At work, our team will be on a 24/7 production. My rest day won’t be the usual weekends now. I’m still stuck at 7am to 4pm schedule until August, a special privilege my boss gave me. And during this time, I need to start reviewing for my CCNA exam. I’ve been postponing it several times already. It’s high time I focus and double my efforts in studying.

At home, time to enroll the little boy to Ann Arbor. And that reminds me to follow-up as we haven’t reserved a slot for him yet. I was thinking that if ever he won’t be accepted there, the school is not for him. I can hear myself answering, yeah right!

I’m also working on my son’s photobook. Wish I could finish it before my paypal depletes. Off I go now as I still have to check on ALRI CR2 for my mom.

Manic Monday #209

If you could write your own bill of rights, what would you include?

The right of good education depending on the needs of a kid. Schools should provide quality education and not go for the quantity of the kids.

Equal rights of a man and a woman in the field of work. Let's admit it, there is still discrimination over what a man can do and what a woman can not do at work.

Lastly, better benefits for a working individual - health, insurance and pension.

What is going on in the world today that affects you the most?

Death caused by the adverse effect of what we do to Earth.

Abortion to most countries where this is legal.

Same sex marriage. I am a devout Christian that's why.

What do you think is the secret to a good life?

Love and respect. When these two are with you, everything will fall into place according to the Man Above's plan.

High up on the rooftop – look! a falling crayon!

The TT questions are brought to you by Berleen, the color of peanut butter cups and the number 10.

My oldest demon (aka Demon #1) is in Oklahoma! The musical this weekend. Yep, my kid is a drama geek. Have you ever been in a play or musical? Were you in the drama club in high school?

Nope. How I wish I did. It was my frustration.

You are walking down the road and the cops fly by you and stop at the house just a little ways down the street. It's the way you were going to go... do you take a detour to avoid it or do you just keep walking because, hey - you had the idea first! or do you walk by out of complete curiosity?

Keep on walking. I won’t mind them.

I drop a green crayon from the roof and Kimber drops a yellow one - which one will grow wings and fly before it hits the ground?

Does crayons grow wings?

What is the first section of the grocery store you go to? And I know that sentence doesn't sound right, but I don't care.

Baby section (Milk and Diaper section)

Do you like questions that have a yes or no answer or do you like to actually think for yourself and come up with something original?

I prefer the yes or no answer as I don’t want to think a lot. Hahaha!

The wall directly in front of you... whats on it?

Windows and curtains

Sea salt?

Came from the sea? Geesh!

420. You know what it is. It's a time, it's a day, it's a way of life. Did you celebrate yesterday?

No, I did not. I was kinda sad yesterday as the husband will go to the province and will be back on Saturday.

Can you read a tape measure?

Yes, I can.

The city/town/village that you live in... it's population is.....????

No idea.

If a laptop fell out of the sky do you think you could catch it? And if you did, do you think it's Finders Keepers?

I’d definitely try to catch it if it’s an iMAC and definitely, it’s a finder’s keepers thing.

Driving down the highway, driving down the interstate, driving down a dirt road that you are sure goes absolutely nowhere... whats the longest distance you have ever driven in one trip?

I haven’t driven a car in my entire life as I don’t know how to drive.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Should I ask Google about this? LOL!

While the husband is away

Hubby together with his dad and his grandmother went to Real, Quezon early this morning to visit their farm. They’ll be coming back on Saturday morning. So while the husband is away, I keep myself busy so as not to miss him so much. This is the first time that he’s away from us for more than a day. I can’t bear it, what more if he decides to work abroad. That’ll be a different story then.

To fight the thought of missing him badly, I keep myself busy with FB as well as reading some articles about make-ups and what nots. There is one cosmetology school in Texas that offers a unique approach of education to the market. Don’t you like that idea. Oops, off I go now. My little girl needs feeding from her mama cow.

Manic Monday #208

How has your life been different than you imagined?

I didn’t imagine to get kids early but I don’t regret it. The kids and my husband are what completes me now. The life I have been dreaming when I was still younger will complete be forgotten now.

What lessons have you learned from your relationships?

Respect yourself and don’t give all of what you have. You would still need yourself to recover if the relationship failed. One more thing, you’d need to kiss a few frogs before meeting your prince

If you had to move to a city besides the one you currently live in, where would you move?

I would have loved to live in the province, far away from the city where I can breathe fresh air. However, I need to prioritize the needs of my kids. A proper school, nearer hospital and mall. Living in another country is a better idea too.

Thursday Thunks... late again. bite me.

The TT questions are brought to you by Berleen, the color of daisies and the number 0.

Got your taxes done?

I think so. Haha!

What do batteries run on?

Some chemical energy.

What do chickens think we taste like?

Delicious!

What do they call a French kiss in France?

A kiss.

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor and dishwashing liquid made with real
lemons?

Really? I didn't know that. Haha!

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

Once or twice. Always guilty on this.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

If I missed a call and call you back, I only wait for three rings. If you didn't answer, I'll forgot about you calling me in the first place.

So Mel Gibson left his girlfriend - think he's finally heard of me?

Haha!

Why do they call it "getting your dog fixed" if afterwards it doesn't work anymore?

    confused

Are you bothered that I didn't number these?

No.

There's a Froggie Treasure Hunt going on... winner wins a $20 Amazon gift certificate ~ Why haven't you joined ICForums and started playing yet?

I got tons of work still on my hands. Maybe when I finished earlier, I'll give it a try.

Manic Monday #207

Are you doing what you really want to do?

Not really. I would have loved to travel if finances permits and be a SAHM and watch my kids grow.

What is your biggest fear? How can you conquer that fear?

Losing someone, I mean death. I guess I wouldn’t be able to conquer such fear.

Have you settled for mediocrity in your life?

Not really. I strive hard every single day to make our life comfortable and that my kids would have a childhood better than what I had.

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color of cooked crab, and the number 544.

1. It's the first of April, do you play April Fool's jokes on anyone?

Never tried it yet.

2. Do you like to eat sardines?

Yes, I do eat it during breakfast only.

3. Have you ever played racketball?

Nope, haven’t seen anyone play the game too.

4. If eating at a fast food joint that has a dollar menu, do you order a bunch of different dollar items or just go ahead and get a regular meal?

Regular meal.

5. Have you ever taken a brand new pencil and sharpened it in an electric sharper until it was almost gone just because you were bored?

Nah. Never tried it. My mom will surely kill me if I did such.

6. Do you have any old broken computers still sitting around your home?

You bet!

7. Ricky Martin came out this week stating he is gay. Were you shocked, had a feeling, "who?" or just didn't care?

Didn’t care. We talked about it thought but not such a big deal.

8. If marijuana is legalized, do you think it should have a luxury tax added onto it?

I’m against any form of prohibited drugs. But I’d say yes to add luxury tax on it so only few can afford it.

9. What's the oddest thing you have sitting on your computer desk right now or where ever it is you may be sitting with a laptop (you could be sitting at a Starbucks with an alien from Mars for all we know)?

Uhm, nothing odd yet. I’m in the office and we practice 5S so my table should be clutter free.

10. Have you ever bumped into a former lover and found out they were now gay or straight depending on your relationship with them?

Haha! No. An officemate though had a real-life story. Her ex-BF showed up after her wedding telling her he was gay from the very beginning of their relationship then.

11. Have you ever held a tarantula?

Freaky no! Afraid of it.

12. Shower- curtain, door, walk-in, or do you just roll around in the dirt to get the stink off?

Shower curtain.

13. Which commercial is the most annoying to you on TV or radio?

Ads of politician running for the national election. Duh!

The Cafe Test

You Are Reflective

During your downtime, you like to think about the world around you and develop theories.

You secretly wish that you could be a more successful person. Being rich is a dream of yours.

You feel optimistic about the world, and you feel like you deal with everyday life well. You hardly notice problems.

You are inspired by a mismatch of things. You never know what is going to get you thinking, and your mind tends to be racing.

Blogthings: Discover the Parts of Your Personality that Have Been Hiding

Maundy Thursday

It's Maundy Thursday today in this part of the world and here I am, spending my so-called lenten season at work. I have a document, a training manual that is, that needs to be submitted to my boss on Monday. Plus, I with my other teammate needs to clean up our PABX system and update our Network Directory.

Geesh! I'm not actually sure if we can finish it until tomorrow. We don't want to go OT on Saturday and worst on Sunday.

Speaking of working during the holiday, it makes me wonder, am I ready for the direction of our team to go 24/7 on May?

Good thing my boss is understanding enough, and so are my teammates, to make in still in morning shift until Claire turns 1. Ain't that great? Yeah, maybe.

Off I go now as my hands are full with to do's including a research on how to buy gold coins. Ciao now!
