Tickets again?

The husband is kinda hard to control after he learned about this wonderful site that offers tickets to various shows. Who couldn't resist? Ticketamerica.com is a source of great and cheap seating for the the Vancouver Canucks games plus Anaheim Ducks hockey and Dallas Stars road games. It's like a one stop shop for all die hard sports fan.

So now, we are expecting in the mail vancouver canucks tickets, anaheim ducks tickets, and dallas stars tickets. I wonder who will accompany the husband to watch those games. I will pass on this, that is for sure. So he needs to contact his dear friends to watch with him.

Big time

Why, hello there!

Yep. I am still very much alive. I have been neglecting this blog for the longest time now. My daily tasks are very much full to the brim that there are those I cannot anymore handle.

Hubby had even advised me to take a break. I declined but he insisted. He bought big time rush tickets for us. Ain't he sweet? He actually planned to buy more tickets for us and his family. He bought the black keys tickets for his brother and romeo santos tickets for his siblings.

Buried or Lifted?

If you find yourself at the bottom of a deep hole in the ground, and somebody starts shovelling dirt into the hole, what are you going to do?

In this part of the world where cost of living goes high but wages stays low, it is everyone’s desire not to get sick. Medications and hospital bills aren’t affordable and there is no way a sick person can get assistance from the government without shelving out buck of money. What’s up everybody?

Oh yeah! I am still alive and kickin’. Well, sort of.

Been out of the blogging world for almost a month now thanks to major changes in our lives. First, I was occupied with scouting for a new school for my eldest. No, I love his former school but we had no choice but to look for another one as we are moving out of the city we were before. Second, the big move. We now lived in an apartment so close to my husband’s work. Third, we need to look for a nanny for my youngest – this has not been accomplished at the time being. So yeah, we are still not yet settled so to speak.

Lastly, work load. Been working six days straight now but had no choice. My buddy lost his father last Friday so he is on a weeklong leave leaving me alone during our shift.

Jewellery as investment

I am not getting any younger. Suffice to say, at this age, I should have had something as an investment. What was I thinking? Jewellery.

If money isn’t an issue, I would have several items. A diamond ring is the top of the list. Come on! Who wouldn’t like one? So I better be grateful to own two pieces, a watch and a pair of earrings.

Whenever we go to malls, which we seldom do nowadays, I am often caught off guard by my dear husband staring at the glass display of a certain jewellery shop in awe of their vast display of jewellery items. He usually allows me to have my own window shopping time for a good five minutes before he scolds me to move on. Hmp!

I find my haven in window online shopping then. Haha! I own my time this time around. Let me tell you this certain website which started selling watches then expanded to offering authentic jewellery. Wednesday Happy Thoughts

1. “Notes” credited just in time for my boy’s party.

2. Joshua’s school party tomorrow.

3. Joshua’s turning 5 on Friday, time really do flies fast.

4. Claire expanding her vocabulary including the name of her kuya which she fondly calls “SA.”

5. Change of work schedule which means I can be able to squeeze in an hour to run.

Trip na trip: Taal Volcano

Last weekend, my colleagues and I had our team building in Tagaytay. We hit the road to Tagaytay in the afternoon and had dinner at Leslie’s. Afterwards, the boys had drinking and gambling session in hubby’s grandmother’s resthouse. Early in the morning, we went to Taal Yacht Club to ride a boat going to Taal Volcano’s island. We then walked almost 4 kilometers to the viewing deck. We would have gone to the crater lake but the volcano was active at that time and there was a 4km danger zone raised by PHILVOCS.

We conquered Taal Volcano!

The latest news about corruption in the country’s military system is another hit in the present government. One of those things was the 50 million pesos monthly allowance of generals. Come to think about it. The soldiers were all in the field risking their lives while those Generals were just lying on their comfortable room and yet they were the one given big chunk of money. Just recently, with the pending Depuy lawsuit for all the Generals involved, one has ended his life by gunning himself on his left chest in front of his parents’ grave. As a citizen, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unless they were proven guilty, they shouldn’t be mocked.

I am swamped with tons and tons of work. When will this end? I honestly really, really wanted to be out of this slavery – corporate slavery, that is. I simply wanted to be a SAHM (stay-at-home mother) and watch my growing kids. But then, it isn’t practical as we have payables left and right. I wished we could afford to buy gold bullion now. We would wait for the right time when its price is sky rocket high and we would surely sell them. We would then put up a business using the money we have raised. Surely, we could finally afford by then for me not to work anymore. Oh life, dream on.

A very bad news

Our Human Resource manager called for a meeting yesterday and attendance is a must for all employees with PTT as their tax code. They announced a very, very bad news from our BIR. I’ll tell the story soon.

After the meeting, almost all employees are whining. Some even cried, including myself. No, we won’t be losing our job. The announcement has a major impact on our earnings for the coming year. I immediately called the husband to relay the news to him. We even called lawyers and certified public accountants with tax specialty to discuss the matter with them. The husband and I have to earn more next year, which made me think of putting up on online business. I am thinking of selling clothes for babies and kids. Baby clothing would surely be a hit to mothers most especially if I would sell imported brands in a cheaper cost. It could either be pre-order or on-hand. I am already drafting a proposal to the husband and if he allows me to venture on to this business, I will go full blast first quarter of next year. Hopefully, the income the business will generate can help or more so, suffice our needs.
