PBB is finally over - but can't still get over it. Hay! I wasn't able to watch the start of the Big Night. Arrived home seeing my kid dancing to the tune of "Ang Saya Dito."

The concept of the show was fab. Hehehe! I like the way the envelope came out of the so-called comet that landed the earth, LOL! I like the way Ejay reacted when he he heard that we is the Big Winner - totoong totoo. He was at pure bliss. I also like the way his stepdad (Daddy Earning) who was also the Big Winner of the Guardians carried him as if telling the whole Dome that this is my son. Hahaha! I can't keep my mouth shut in telling nasty comments to his mom though. See, his mom left him when they were still in Mindoro and now that he has everything, there she was again. Hay...

Who will be the PBB Teen Edition Plus Big Winner?

It’s the season of PBB again. I can recall being scolded by hubby during the first season since I stayed up late just to watch it. I was pregnant with Joshua then. Now, the Big Night is just a one sleep away. Due to my erratic schedule, I wasn’t able to watch it religiously. So, I don’t actually have a bet on who’ll be the big winner. Anyone can be, it doesn’t matter except Nicole. Yes, at an early age she has been showing signs of being a slut. I know the Nicosef story, LOL! Poor Mica, Josef left her just to be free once Nikki goes out of the house. I don’t like Beauty too, she seems to frank. Robi, on the other hand seems to be playing safe all the time. Ejay is too good to be true. I pity the latter when Daddy John told him that he can’t be an artista since he doesn’t know good English. Kainis talaga yang Español na yan, LOL!

The Promdie Hottie (Ejay)
Full Name: Ejay Falcon
Origin: Oriental Mindoro

At first glance, Ejay doesn't look the typical promdi for he moves in a smooth and urbane manner. But as one gets to know him, the truth about his hometown begins to show, not that he tries to hide it. This shy lad from Oriental Mindoro speaks with straight and clear Tagalog, with a taint of Mindorenyo and a Visayan accent. Ejay grew up in the island of Pola where there is a scarcity of water and electricity, and watching TV Patrol and primetime teleseryes from the community TV, the only form of entertainment for the residents. Despite his timid ways acquired from his rural origins and strict Christian upbringing, Ejay is courageous and determined, ready to take on anything just to free his family from the poverty that ruined his parents' marriage. With doting parents and nannies to do everything for her, she is pretty much used to people around her giving in to all her whims.But despite of this, Beauty learned early in life the value of having principles, and this belief of hers has already gotten her into catfights in school.After a controversial brawl in defense of her own reputation, Beauty was prevented from joining her graduation march as imposed by the officers of her school. Beauty admits to being vain and is very conscious of her looks even at a very young age. Nikki is not your typical hyper-active and expressive teen. At a young age, she has learned to take hold of her emotions and control her actions (read: prim and proper). Very in character for the daughter of a Chinese businessman, who has led a sheltered and comfortable life thus far. The biggest problem she’s had was the initial disapproval of her family towards her chosen guy, but even that is now resolved and all is right in her world. Everything is quite perfect for this little miss: a good life, a supportive family, and a blooming love life. Nikki thinks she’ll be able to get along quite well with the other housemates, as long as there are no plastic people in the group. Once you get past her shy and quiet demeanor, Nikki is friendly and ready to take on tasks and adventures. It is interesting to see how Nikki will be able to deal with the diverse personalities of the housemates. Will she still be able to keep her cool? How will Nikki cope with the simpler life in Kuya’s house? Moreover, will her young love stand the test of time and distance, especially with a number of cute boys in close proximity?

The True Blue Atenean (Robi)

Being a housemate, Robi has to forego his high school graduation – and the chance to receive his award for excellence personally. Living up to being a man for others, though, he considers the chance to be a housemate a worthy compromise, not because it may be a claim to fame but as an opportunity to be a good influence to others.Aiming high, he hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in medicine. A member of the baseball varsity and the honor roll as well, it seems all is set for Robi. One thing he can’t seem to get the hang of, unfortunately, is his love life. He got dumped both times he tried courting a girl, though he’s really persistent in pursuing the second. Too bad they don’t teach Courtship (Anti-torpe) 101 in high school. As he enters the PBB house, Robi has very positive thoughts on today’s youth. He perceives them to be well-rounded individuals, versatile and willing to try out a variety of things. He carries the same attitude towards his housemates, believing the best of them as he looks forward to hanging out with them despite the varied interests. Having the Atenean school spirit, will he still be able to think the same way when he lives in close quarters with someone from a rival school? Is he truly the good trophy boy that he seems to be? Will Kuya teach a summer course on courtship inside the yellow house? And will he have a summer love to boot?

Ruben is PBB Celebrity Edition 2 Big Winner

Finally, the most talked about season of PBB is over. Congratulatiosn to Ruben for being the big winner. I hate it though thinking that Riza's text votes outnumbered Gaby. Were you able to see Mariel's reaction when she peeked into the envelope being checked by the SGV man? Oh well... Next season will be for teens. Will another Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson be born in the coming season? Will find out on March...

I was fond of PBB from the very first season. I remember the daddy always scold me for staying up late just to watch it. I was pregnant then. My fondness though didn't end up voting for my fave one. Sayang ang load. LOL!

And now, the Big Night is merely hours from now. Thank God I will be able to watch it tonight. Who's your bet? I'm still kinda confused between Gaby and Ruben. I know the sympathy of the public is for Ruben, but attitude wise I go for Gaby.

The Big Four of PBB Celebrity Edition 2:
Nickname: Gaby
Real Name: Gabriella dela Merced
Claim to Fame: Multi-awarded Filipina on the Asian Formula 3 circuit

Gaby Dela Merced took public interest when she became one of the few Filipinas to dominate the Asian Formula 3 circuit. She is the only Filipina who competed in the full season of the series and her efforts to a 1st Runner-up placing in the Philippine National Formula championship. Last year Gaby appeared in a shampoo commercial that highlighted Filipina’s with “power, brain and beauty.” According to Gaby she was willing to try any sport to join the Olympics and when she got into motor sports, she knew this was her true calling. “Racing gives me a big sense of freedom, the world is yours, kaya mo lahat-lahat.” Aside from racing, Gaby is a bonafide sports enthusiast. She also plays football and Frisbee when she has the time. Will she be able to race ahead to the finish line and become this season’s Big Winner?

She maybe Canadian but Riza is pure pinay, her parents hailing from Bulacan and Bataan. Both engineers, her parents’ jobs took them to Canada as immigrants. And although she has lived in North America all her life, Riza is raised with Filipino values and has very close family ties. She admits though to breaking the rules and sneaking out to party with the popular kids one night when she was 16. She returned home to find her sister enraged for her parents were still out looking for her. Riza then vowed never to do it again. Riza began concentrating on charity work and community service. She even joined the military as a medic. She’s also a counselor at a crisis center for pregnant women and has vowed to save her self for the man she loves on her wedding day. Riza even wears a ring on her engagement finger to seal this promise. Riza, like most of her family, is an achiever. Aside from her military career and vocations, she studied Biology in college. Quite talented, she has also designed some of the gowns she has worn on pageants. Riza dreams of having a singing and acting career someday too. Although relatively unknown in Manila, Ruben is quite a celebrity in Davao. Working for ABS-CBN Davao, Ruben is popularly known as a member of the channel’s Joke Squad. He is also a stand-up comic in various bars with his trademark screaming faggot act. He’s become so good at it that everyone who sees him perform assumes he is gay. But this comedian is actually a ladies man and is already married with 2 kids. Ruben is most famous in the South for “Budots”, naming his crazy dance steps after the slang term for bum in Davao. But despite the fame, Ruben is struggling to keep his head above the water. Right now, he is earning enough to get by and doesn’t want his family to experience the impoverished life he had before.
