Buried or Lifted?

If you find yourself at the bottom of a deep hole in the ground, and somebody starts shovelling dirt into the hole, what are you going to do?

Are you going to give up and leave yourself to being buried, or are you going to step up on top of each fresh mound of dirt until you’re finally able to step out of the hole?

It all depends on whether you look at the dirt as something that will bury you or as something that can lift you higher.

In short, it’s a matter of attitude and perspective. Every day, problems, frustrations, challenges and uncertainty are heaped upon you. They can bury you if you let them. Or, they can lift you if you’ll step up to them.

Which will it be? Don’t stand still and let yourself get buried when, with a bit of effort, you can use the very same situation to lift yourself up.

— Ralph Marston

Do You Have A Quiet Moment?

There is much you can know through silence. There is much you can learn by quieting your thoughts for a while.

There’s no need to attempt to stop those thoughts from coming. Simply choose not to hold on to them, and soon they will recede from you on their own.  Make the choice to disconnect yourself for a time from your judgments and analyses. Allow yourself to simply be.

Take in the beauty of life without feeling the need to do anything about it. Know fully the extraordinary experience of being alive, aware, and accepting of all the goodness that is there to fill you.

Put a little distance between yourself and the confusion, dilemmas and anxieties that so often insist on grabbing your attention. Give yourself the opportunity to remember who you truly are.

Spend some time enjoying the quiet and profound beauty of being alive. It will fill you with a powerful energy that can add value to all you do.

What reflection do you see?

Be a friend, and you will have a friend. Give, and you receive.  Teach, and you will learn. Offer encouragement, and you’ll be lifted up.  Listen intently, seeking to truly understand, and you will be understood. Be respectful and you’ll be respected.

Life is a mirror that reflects back to you what you think, what you expect, what you feel, and what you do. The way to improve the reflection is to improve what’s being reflected.

Be the love, be the compassion, be the strength, be the responsibility that you wish to see in others. Be the best example you can imagine and you’ll be pleased with how your example is followed.  The way you most sincerely live is magnified by all that is around you.

- Ralph Marston

Call the doctor very quick

In this part of the world where cost of living goes high but wages stays low, it is everyone’s desire not to get sick. Medications and hospital bills aren’t affordable and there is no way a sick person can get assistance from the government without shelving out buck of money. And when we do get sick, we wish for a physician like Ramona Bates MD. He is one of the many US physicians found in Doximity, a largest real-name and physician-only network. Finding the right physician is a crucial thing as our lives will rest on their hands and their judgment as well.

Howdy! Howdy!

What’s up everybody?

Oh yeah! I am still alive and kickin’. Well, sort of.

Been out of the blogging world for almost a month now thanks to major changes in our lives. First, I was occupied with scouting for a new school for my eldest. No, I love his former school but we had no choice but to look for another one as we are moving out of the city we were before. Second, the big move. We now lived in an apartment so close to my husband’s work. Third, we need to look for a nanny for my youngest – this has not been accomplished at the time being. So yeah, we are still not yet settled so to speak.

Lastly, work load. Been working six days straight now but had no choice. My buddy lost his father last Friday so he is on a weeklong leave leaving me alone during our shift.

That’s for now guys. Still need to look out for Wellbutrin Lawsuit. I heard one of the best attorneys were the one below:

Jewellery as investment

I am not getting any younger. Suffice to say, at this age, I should have had something as an investment. What was I thinking? Jewellery.

If money isn’t an issue, I would have several items. A diamond ring is the top of the list. Come on! Who wouldn’t like one? Any girl in town dreams to own a diamond ring – especially if it is gifted by someone special to them. However, our funds aren’t bottomless. Neither has it sufficed to our needs. So I better be grateful to own two pieces, a watch and a pair of earrings.

Whenever we go to malls, which we seldom do nowadays, I am often caught off guard by my dear husband staring at the glass display of a certain jewellery shop in awe of their vast display of jewellery items. He usually allows me to have my own window shopping time for a good five minutes before he scolds me to move on. Hmp!

I find my haven in window online shopping then. Haha! I own my time this time around. Let me tell you this certain website which started selling watches then expanded to offering authentic jewellery. TICJewellery.co.uk offers wide variety of jewellery from necklaces, bracelets, pendants, charms, earrings and rings both for women and men.

dog tag One item caught my attention and it is the D&G Jewellery Silver Dog Tag Necklace. I so loved its polished stainless steel finish and the polished stainless steel plaque atop the brown leather back plate with D&G logo. It’s unisex so either the husband or I can wear it. Even my kiddo can as it has secure jewellery clasp fastening. No worries for me as I bet it wouldn’t be lost in an instant.

What’s good about this certain store is it accepts Paypal. Now I am itching to click on the “Add to Basket” button and purchase it. I am already picturing the look of my husband once the parcel arrives in our doorsteps. Haha!

Trip na trip: Taal Volcano

Last weekend, my colleagues and I had our team building in Tagaytay. We hit the road to Tagaytay in the afternoon and had dinner at Leslie’s. Afterwards, the boys had drinking and gambling session in hubby’s grandmother’s resthouse. Early in the morning, we went to Taal Yacht Club to ride a boat going to Taal Volcano’s island. We then walked almost 4 kilometers to the viewing deck. We would have gone to the crater lake but the volcano was active at that time and there was a 4km danger zone raised by PHILVOCS.

taalWe conquered Taal Volcano!

Lawsuits and more

The latest news about corruption in the country’s military system is another hit in the present government. One of those things was the 50 million pesos monthly allowance of generals. Come to think about it. The soldiers were all in the field risking their lives while those Generals were just lying on their comfortable room and yet they were the one given big chunk of money. Just recently, with the pending Depuy lawsuit for all the Generals involved, one has ended his life by gunning himself on his left chest in front of his parents’ grave. As a citizen, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unless they were proven guilty, they shouldn’t be mocked.
