Tita Lai

We first met when I started to work at SMPHI. She was ever bubbly and full of life. We instantly click. She’s just few years older than me but I fondly called her Tita Lai. We shared secrets and I thank her for covering me up with our boss during those days. She has been promoted several times during my stay with the company but that didn’t change her of how she treats us. I got her as Joshua’s ninang although they haven’t seen each other for quite some time now. I thank God for allowing me to be friend with such a wonderful person inside and out. And on her special day, I prayed that she would finally find the right man for her and that she would forever be happy.

Happy birthday bru. I miss you and see you soon. San ang treat mo? Hahaha!

Dinner with my college friends

Dou (with her husband Allan) were here in the country and called for a get together just last Monday. I received a text from Cathy at 3pm that we’ll have to meet in Megamall for dinner at 7pm. Went to Muchos for a night of fun and KTV.

It has been a week now. I wasn’t able to celebrate my birthday on the day itself. I haven’t celebrated it yet.I’m still thinking whether to still celebrate it or not.

Thanks to my friend Jhong who made a post about me on my birthday itself. Thank you so much! You really made that day even more special. Now, I still believe there are still who love me beyond distance.

BFF nite out

Last Saturday, after my OT, hubby picked me up in Ayala and we troop to Mall of Asia to spend the night with my college friends. I treated them dinner, my advanced treat for them. We wanted to try Kalye Juan but we were 6^th in the waiting list. Gawd! Since we were hungry then, we tried our look in Gerry’s Grill. After our sumptuous meal, we went near the bay and though it was drizzling, we still had a fun time taking pictures. Did I say all our camera and phone batteries went low bat? Sumuko na sa amin, LOL!

If you notice, I was able to update my post a little. Everything was made possible by Jhong. So everybody knows, she is one of my best buddies in college. Amongst the group we are included; we shared almost all secrets, even dark ones, lol. After what happened to our office blocking blogger, I lost my enthusiasm to blog. It came to a point that I really don’t want to visit even my very own blog but rather blog hop. I have memorized your links now, I’m telling you.

Since I was vocal to her of planning not to update my blog anymore, she offered help. Our setup, I’ll be sending through her email each entry and she’ll be the one to post it here. Complicated isn’t it?

Thank you so much Jhong for making everything possible. You’re really one precious gem that I’ll never ever let go. I love you sis!

 

Finally

This is my last day of work. Uh Uh! I'm not resigning. Last day of being in the night shift. Finally, it has come to an end. I'll be going back to my regular schedule come Monday and it will last for two months before I go back to graveyard shift again. Anyhow, I'm so excited since I'll be able to grab a decent sleep tomorrow. Yes, I'll be spending the whole Saturday to sleep. So lazy of me...

And I was shocked when I was able to have a little chit chat with my college friend Erika. She has been hibernating for the longest time now. She didn't reply to any of our text messages. The last time she replied to me was when I sent my condolences during her mom's wake. I wasn't able to visit her then since I just gave birth. Now, won't you think it was kinda long enough for her hibernation? Anyways, since Puerta Galera treat of Dou won't push through (her mom was sent to the hospital several times last month), she opt to have a dinner with us na lang. This time, Erika will be coming. Yahoo!!! Finally, we'll be able to see her. And she has good news for us... She's getting married on March and she's 15 weeks pregnant.

It so fun to keep in touch with friends. Being with them makes me feel that life is worth everything.

Thanks to the management of Platinum KTV for allowing us to bring my little boy inside... Well, he enjoyed the day while playing with Ninang Cathy. He also had a chance to sing his own song while his daddy is singing, lol!

Weekend recap

Saturday was a usual weekend for me. Did the laundry and would you believe it, angels has been sent out as the daddy helped me out until I was able to finish everything. Hehehe! Afterwards, since I am sleep deprived as I started doing the laundry right after I arrived from work, he allowed me to sleep while he babysit the little boy. When the little boy was finally in deep slumber, we decided to go to Alabang and look for something that we could give for Jhong. It's her birthday and we were going to have a lunch date the next day.

Sunday was a very fun day seeing old friends from college. I can't even remember when was the last time our schedules meet and was able to have a lunch date. Oh well, since it was Jhong's treat for us, she decided to have it in Chef de Angelo Greenbelt. Take note, no one, even the birthday girl knows that the restaurant is in Greenbelt 1. Hahaha! It was just that day when we found out about it. There are a lot of wacky stories on their way to Greenbelt 1. The best would be Cathy and Ian's story. The hail a taxi and went off in front of the Louis Vuitton store. The guard opened their door thinking that the couple would be entering the store, hahaha! They were embarassed daw as the guard was very courteous pa. We were the rowdiest in the place as we laugh together at everyone's stories. Fello arrived with a cakes less candle so we asked the manager if they do have a candle. Lucky us, the manager was able to provide one. The little boy (we decided to bring the kiddo as most of my college friends are his godparents) received more gifts than the birthday girl. LOL!

After our lunch date, we decided to go to Platinum KTV along Polaris. And the funniest part was we were so early birds as no one is still in the area aside from the guard. Next time guys, gimik time is 3 pm, LOL! They were so good enough as they open ahead of time just because of us. After 2 hours of singing out loud, we call it a day as some still have appointments. We together with Cathy, Ian and Nolan went to spent another hour at Timezone Glorietta. Afterwards, we call it a day as well.

Next get together will be on February as we will be celebrating Dou's birthday. Hopefully, our plans will push through.

Been with these guys for the whole 4 years of my college life and oh boy, missing them a lot now. Hope we could fix our schedules to have a reunion. I bet it would be a blast.

I only had few (and I mean few) friends. I was kinda picky with them after what I experienced before in high school. I might forget a lot of things from the past but never my bad memories.

With the few friends I have, Jhong is my best pal. I wasn't able to see and have chit chat with for a very long time now. However, our friendship is the most treasured one. She knows all my flaws and so do I with her. She fully understands my weirdest attitude and so I do with her. Others might misunderstood her, sometimes I do too. Nevertheless, she is still one unique woman who can heal one broken soul... That is me...I miss you Jhong...
